Station 4 is the only station that needs no equipment whatsoever — 80 m of burpee broad jumps. It is also the station where the movement standards catch the most people, because a judge can no-rep you on depth, on staggered feet, or on where your hands land.

Almost nothing — which is the point. What you do need is floor space (about 12–15 m to do the 80 m in six or seven unbroken sets) and a surface you can put your chest on.
| What to use | Why | |
|---|---|---|
| Space | 12–15 m straight, or a there-and-back line | Not a station you can rehearse in a small flat |
| Flooring | Rubber gym mat or turf | Protects your chest and your floors |
| Nothing else | No sled, no ball, no bag | The cheapest station in the race to train |
Because it needs no kit, burpee broad jumps are limited by engine and depth discipline, not by anything you can buy — which is exactly why the running and conditioning work on our running guide matters more here than any purchase.
Never a repair bill — this station needs no gear. If you are kitting out a space, the floor matters more: see our picks for home gym essentials, or compare every product we rate on the lafitness Score. How we make money →

Station 4 comes straight off run 4. Your engine is the limiter here.
